I want you to know

I want you to know that,
when I tell you how I feel,
about you, and about us,
I mean every word I say.

I would never tell you 
something I did not mean.

I know sometimes 
some of the things I say
sound a little corny,
or hard to believe,

or sometimes I steal a song
so I can give it's words to you,
for they tell of the way I feel.

But one day soon
it will become 
all so clear to you, 
that my words are,
and my heart is true.
