where I go

Walking down this rocky road,
on my tender bare feet,
as is my heart,
the jagged edges cut so deep,

and I leave a trail of bloody footprints,
in the pure white snows that fall
to cover my heart in this freezing blanket.

This freezing cold does petrify my soul
to it’s core so deep,

but I must march on through all this pain,
to get to where, I do not know,

and I must endure without refrain,
til I get to where I go,

to find the one who’s looking for me,
so together, we can be.

She'll find me one so honest and true,
that’s hard to find today,

and she’ll appreciate all that I am,
in each and every way.

And I will just be who I am,
with no reasons to pretend,

and I will stay true by her side,
til time, it does end.
