it's frightening to think,
we know so few things,
about each one the other,
and yet, this "us" just feels so right.

Dare we lay our hearts on the line,
and take these chances all so soon,
as we already have?

This is how this love does come,
wave on wave, undeniably.

No reasons to fear,
no reasons to doubt,
but for those
common sense would dictate.

And if we are wrong,
and these feelings aren’t true,
sadly time will tell,

but if they are real,
they will see us through,
and make us winners til the end.

I already feel like such a winner,
to win a prize of such great value,
as I see you to be.

In this world,
in which we find ourselves,

nothing is certain
and
nothing is guaranteed,

but that my feelings for you are real,
and my intentions are the best,
honorable and lovingly true,

or I would not be knocking at your door.

In our world, let us be not "two afraid",
but "two courageous", willing to chance,
