Two I knew

I drove around
with two I knew,
me behind the wheel,

we pulled over
because they saw
this friend.

this one
who would bring
my life's end,

oh, if I only knew.

And they opened the door
to let him in,
their "this friend",

he reached in the glove box
and pulled out a Glock,

that there was no need
for him to cock,

planted right there,
just waiting for him.

He pull the trigger three times,
and each bullet hit it's mark,

into the right side of my head,
and I knew that instant,
I was dead,

as I sat there
and did bleed.

My ears did ring
and my blood flowed
red,

and though alive,
I knew I was dead,
and it was
just a matter of time.

I knew I was dead,
though yet my life,
it did not leave,

as much blood pulsed
from my wounds three.

I sat there in resign,
slumped into the seat,
as I stared down at my feet,

now covered
in my own fresh blood.

My blood it dripped,
as did my life
quickly slip away,
on this, my last day.

get along little doggie,
get along dying man,
get into the ground,
as fast as you can…

so how do I live without you,
and how do I die beside them,
as they watch me go.

I drove around with
these two I knew,
and my life is now through.
