I get this ringing in my head, an empty hollow sound, as my heart, it slowly dies, along with the love that we once knew. For there was a time that you were mine as I was yours. Those were happy times I miss so desperately. The complexities of our differences, they came between our hearts, and pushed our love away, and we just stood there and watched. Didn't do a thing to fight the end away. Just let it come and take till all was lost. So maybe what we had was only what it was, and never what it could have been, had we tried with all our might, just didn't have the will. Or maybe it just wasn't in the cards, nothing to do or say, as we watched what we had die away to nothingness, nothing to say but goodbye.
