As I walk down this lonely road with she not by my side, I survey the damage of my mistakes that drove her love away. This pain, it is so great, that a fool and his foolishness would bring upon himself as I sift through these ashes. She lit up my life with the fire in her eyes, all there for me alone. High on her love which shown through smile, gleaming as pearls ablaze. She held my soul, she owned my heart, but how was she to know? I did not do such a very good job of letting it show. Haunting echoes now resound from that cavernous place once filled with the love she held, her gift to me. How long must I stand and stare at this empty place that once held such grand prize be mine, as it be forever now lost? Oh, but to turn back the hands, to un-chisel the stone, these things I can not do. As echoes of her love from the past clash with these dreams that have no future, the present, to all be known, but my heart. So I be forever tagged, the mistaker oh so cruel.
