exists?

I look into the mirror,
to see what of you
just might be in me,

and my eyes,
they bleed,

and weep the tears,
of some forty years.

I try to look
into the past,

a place I can not see,
but only in a fog,

of what
you were to me.

Others have come
before me,
with no father to know,

and I know so little
from so long ago.

The memories of a child,
with so few years,

and I can't remember
all of the tears,

and the pain you brought
my way.

Is it still there,
to this day,

somewhere deep inside,
in a place

I don't even know exists?
