Erased

She said that it was over for her long ago,
and she had already moved on, I know.

But I could just not let go,
though I knew I had to.

I erased her numbers from my phone,
one by one.

She was at the top of my list, 
now forever gone.

I thought it was the hardest thing I ever had to do,
but then the thought hit me,

of how easy it was in comparison to,
me trying to erase my memories of her,
and these feelings in my heart.

God, if you can, please help me.
