Flying with the eagles, another river road run, me on two wheels, the fun's just begun. Me on two wheels, and they on two wings, and we were both enjoying the wind. The air fills with the freedom of eagles flying high, majestic and proud, me right by their side. The balds soaring high, then drop out of the sky, to dive in the river below, they pluck out a fish then they perch in the trees and feast on the prize they've just won. Man, what a day, black and chrome, leather and wind, and the feathers and wide wings, of my talon equipt friends. This is what dreams are made of. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I am blessed with a grand
stretch of highway known as
"The Great River Road".
Mother nature is so generous to us here
with all the gifts she provides.
Every year in the winter she sends
the American Bald Eagles down
from the North to feast on our
fish from our river.
To see these bird do what they do
is a sight to see for sure.
Wide wing soaring effortlessly
over the updrafts from the bluff
then dive bombing the river
to take a fish, then sit in bluff trees
and tear at their prize.
Wow, is all I can say... Wow."
