dyslexia

In this picture I saw,
pains from my past
to present day,
and then the article I did read,
and I wrote this
of the emotions
that did rush through me.

~~~~~
An internal rumble heaved
from somewhere behind my heart,
deep inside my soul,
thunderclouds and tears,
a flood of emotions,
all at once ravaged me,
choking on tears inside.....
A journey so long,
a journey so hard,
a journey so never ending.
Still my daily battle
I've learned to fight so well.
This long hard road,
the long way around,
destines path for me.
The struggles,
the pain,
the confusion,
the frustration,
the why me,
but they say in a way
I have a gift
they call me a creative thinker
they say I have advantages,
like Thomas Edison,
and Albert Einstein,
just to name a few.
They say I have only the
learning differences of dyslexia,
in many ways I see just
that of which they speak,
yet it is so hard,
and of myself I am so proud,
for I know this
mountain so high
which I am climbing,
and it is no easy task,
though I've learned the tricks to fight it,
and deal with all these differences,
and beat it in the end,
 and I know they are only half right,
it's not just learning differences,
it's the "dealing with our world" differences
that effect my life and all things in it I do
daily, day to day,
for which my heart weeps.
