Corner of my eyes

The night we met,
I remember all so well,

So standing there I was
when from the corner of my eye
I did spy a vision of beauty

And with my words to you,
Your ears I did reach

And with your smile
my heart, you did touch

If only for a moment so sweet,
as time, it did stand still

For your smile somehow
captured something inside of me,

Looking back I now know
that something was my heart

And I wondered if this was fate,
that joined two paths to one
on that fate filled night,

Yes, I wondered if it was fate,
and what it had in store,

And would we meet again,
I thought, but only time would tell,

And tell it tries to do,
day by day, by day

until we meet again,
and fill in the blank sheets
of the story of us, one page at a time.
