Here's More of My Works

On that clock

The saddest sad I'll ever be,
is when she walked away from me.

The bluest blue I'll ever know
is the day her heart just let me go.

The saddest sad I'll ever know,
is the day I had to watch her go.

And she walked away,
never looking back.

And as I watched her go,
I just couldn't look away.

I couldn't look away,
for I had to see,

if she could really do it,
and I saw that she could,
and did, and now she is gone,

and I had to let her go,
for I didn't know
what too do,
what too say,
or how that I could
make her stay.

She was my best friend,
my soul mate,
and the greatest love of my life.

What can I tell my heart
in a time such as this.
I have not a clue.

Oh, if only
I could turn back the hands on that clock in our hearts.
