arrow deep

If loves were trees,
this one would be an oak,
with roots so deep,
a trunk so broad,
and branches reaching
to the heavens.

If the prize you are,
be won by me,
what this world will see,
is a love to rival
the best of the best,
so strong and deep and true.

Make way Romeo,
and scoot over Juliet,
as the story of us be told,
and yours pales in comparison.

At first sight of you I knew,
there was some power,
greater than ever known,
by this mortal man,
that had a hold on me.

Cupid sank his arrow deep,
as it did hit its mark,
and the magic coursed
through my veins,
straight into my heart
so deep and true.

Don't you feel it too?
