I am so sad at the thought that
you may not be a part of my life anymore.
There are so many little things about you,
things you do,
things you say,
things you are,
that I am so in love with.
I know that you think
that I am just in love
with the thought of being in love,
and you are just a convenient outlet
for my love to flow too.
This is just not true.
There are so many things about you
that I just can't walk away from.
The sound of your voice,
just like heavens angels,
sooths my soul.
The touch of your hands,
your finger tips,
radiating love from your
heart to mine.
The way you respond to my touch,
melting away into my very heart and soul,
and we become one for a time.
When I look into your eyes,
and say to you, "I love you",
I know in my heart that I truly do.
When I look into your eyes,
I truly believe I can see a love
there waiting for me,
and the same thing is in your smile.
Your hair, your lovely darn hair -
to think I will never feel of it,
or smell of it, or gaze upon it.
How can this be?
Can we not find a way?
Can love not find a way?
Can our hearts not find a way?
How can I walk away from heaven?
That's what I felt when we were together.
There is only one way that I will give this up.
That is if you tell me that I must.
If I must, then I must,
and I will if that is what you tell me.
My heart aches at the thought of losing you, and your love.
I have tasted the bitter pain and emptiness
of losing a love so true far to many times
as I'm sure most have,
but just maybe someday
these things will just be
part of a distant past.
I don't know what to do.
Maybe my past has damaged me
more than I realize.
All I know is that I love you,
and if you must go,
you will be missed,
I just feel like crying,
and I'm sure I will.
I'm sorry if I did anything to hurt you.
I tried to show you only
"the love that I hold for you, in my heart",
and to treat you in a way that showed you
that this love was true.
