Two Afraid

The paths of two angels meet.  
A love develops.  

The kind of love that 
most could only dream of.   

So much love, so strong.  

Each offering the other 
all things needed. 

A fear comes into the romance.  

A too much too fast, 
too good to be true fear. 

A fear that is born of 
the pains of the past.  

The past loves gone wrong 
and the pain that come from the losses.  

A pain that must be avoided at all cost.  

These fears remind of 
what could go wrong, 

they cause confusion, 
and they get in the way 
of a chance for true happiness.  

Can these fears ever be overcome ?  

Yes, I say,  with time, 
and compassion, 
and understanding, 
and the love of two hearts, 
the fears will be overcome.  

So much love, so strong.  

I look forward to the day 
when these angels will no longer be
