The answers were there right in front of her face
I did not belong in such desolate place

but she was just blinded because she couldn't see
the value she held in her hands that was we

blinded by the lights and buzzers and bells
like slot machines use so you can not tell

they're taking your money, your treasures away
till you wake the next morning and then you will say

I thought I could win, if I put it all in
but all it did get me was a lost best friend

the house always wins and this I do know
so to lights buzzer and bells my money don't go

but now I stand with empty pockets
was the fault all my own

when you gamble on love
you may end up alone
