I walk alone, and yet I know there is that one for me.
When will she see, and come to me?
I walk in my solitude, that turns to missing she,
this one that still can't see.
I raise white flag high in air to signal from afar,
wishing on the first seen star.
I call out her name, waiting for answer to be heard,
going down for the count.
Holding hands and skipping stones, can not be done alone,
so I wait by phone.
Heart racing in anticipation of what may never be,
yet racing for safe shores.
Will such prize, I ever win, in this endless end,
as time, it ticks away, taking toll?
