Illusion

   Through the magic of Hollywood,
   a love is found.

   A love
   so deep,
   so true,
   so pure,
   so real.

Love, trying to find it's way,
   against all odds.

A love that could not be,
   but could not be stopped.

   A love that disappears,
the illusion that it must have been,

or what was it that it was,
   if not an illusion,
and where could it have gone?

   And he said,
“my heart just could not let you go”.

   And she said,
“I always dreamt of you and that day
we might once again find, each one, the other”.

   And the refinding took place,
and all the world was right once more,
   illusion that it was.

And then the tragic loss unbearable,
dashed the hopes of these two dreamers,

till in the end, the lines, they blurred,
where illusion and reality became one,

as did the two hearts apart,
   now together as one,

   forever,

but only in this Hollywood movie,
and the magic of writers pen.

   In no happy ending,
   the nightmare of reality,
   does cut to the quick.
