Oh, the pain of loving one
who seemingly stopped
loving me back.
To go throughout each day,
longing,
dreaming,
hoping,
praying.
Breath held,
heart skipping
too many beats,
pain ticking away,
in it's slow agonizing death,
screaming for life,
for love,
for what we had,
to not be
forever lost.
