conquers all

I stood at hells gate
right there in the flames
and watched you burn.

I had searched you out in the hell that you made for yourself, till finally I did see, you there in the flames, playing so happily. I watched the devil as he did play and with you have his way. I did not fight him for you did invite him, but I did not want to lose you. I called out your name, and reached for your hand, time and again and again, endlessly, for ever and a day. Forever has come, and it has gone, and past also is that day. I could not get you to come back to me, poisoned, as your mind now be, so to maintain my sanity, I had to leave you there, behind. They say that true love conquers all, and I know that mine was true,
but it doesn’t mean a thing, if yours wasn’t too. So I guess what they say is really just a lie, without the love of two, even true love will die, and no thing shall be conquered.
