the unknown

Once I owned a treasure,
right there in my chest,

my treasure chest,
my heart,

so safe and sound,
with no lock required.

Violent storms
reigned their terror,

and shook the stability,
and created uncertainty,

of what my love
meant to she.

Does she still love me,
does she still care,
does she still miss me,
when I am not there.

When we are apart,
do I still live,
deep inside her heart.

For this answer,
I have one wish,

and that is,
to be so sure
and know,

or for her,
just to show,
so I know

the unknown.
