as to which way
is up,
I just know,

heaven is.
I found it
in your arms,
safe from harm,
till that fate filled day,
the earth did quake,
and my whole world
fell down around my heart.
Don’t know why,
don’t know how,
can’t understand,
what did I do,
was my mistake
loving you?
I don’t think that
is the answer,
but wish I knew,
this thing I may
never know.
Fighting for the chance,
to find the life,
I once knew and
grew to love,
where you,
I placed,
no one above,
so just reward,
here I stand,
with arms reached out,
but empty hand,
wishing,
wondering,
fighting for
the chance
to claim the prize,
