seared

It was the time
I needed her most,

to be there by my side,
to help to hold me up,
for my soul had almost died.

This day I feared
would come,

and find me all alone,
but there was she, I had her,
but only by phone,

and over the wires
I could not get,
that which I did need.

I needed her to take me
in her arms,
and help to hold me up,
in my weakest of times,

but she was not there,
in this time
that I needed her the most.

So I crashed and burn,
in hells flames,
so all alone,
as I feared it would be.

These scars, I will wear,
for the rest of my days,
there is no other way,

for they are burned
into my soul,
seared with flaming tears.
