silver and gold

No silver, no gold,
these things I don't hold,
they glitter me not.

The me you see,
is the me that's me,
no shiny, shiny.

All that glitters is not gold,
and not all treasures glitter.

Look beneath surface,
you need not
look too deep,

and you just might see
things of value,

maybe, if you know,
what your looking for.

No superficiality,
no stick on my lips,
no liposuction
on my hips.

My nails are real
and so is my hair,

even if,
there ain't much there.

I gotta be me,
I gotta be me,
who else can I be?
