in the midst

The me,
I'm proud to be,
where are yee?

Bubbling heart,
full of hope,
in the midst of total hopelessness,

smile shining,
from soul,
so full of life,
with will to turn.

To turn the worst
to best.

Low to maintain,
running on thankfulness,
for what little possessed.

Smiling smiles
for world to see,

that masks the miles
of sadness and sorrow

by the score,
that no man should
have to endure.

But the choice,
it not be given or made,
but simple laid before me.

Don't sweat the small stuff,
milk will spill,
challenges presented,
in endless succession.
